Getting Started
What is Citydrive (ex. YouDrive)?
This is car sharing, a per-minute rent of cars which may be left anywhere inside the city green zone. Register in the mobile application, send the photos of your driving license and passport, and, after a short verification, get the access to hundreds of cars across the city.
What are the features of Citydrive (ex. YouDrive)?
- Our cars are located mostly there where they are needed in the city. As soon as the demand arises somewhere, we open a green zone there.
- You don’t have to go to the office with documents. Registration is made right in the mobile app.
- No advance payments. Money will be written off by 500 RUB during the rent and by the remainder when the rent ends. If the rent costs less than 500 RUB, the payment shall only be made once – in the end.
- 24-hour rent. Take a car anytime you need it.
- You don’t have to pay for the fuel, parking and washing. These expenses, as well as maintenance, are taken by us.
- You can use one account for driving in Moscow, Sochi, Saint-Petersburg.
- We award rating points for safe driving and regular trips. The more rating points you have, the higher your level in Citydrive. The higher your level, the more discounts and other privileges you have.
- If you damage the car, we’ll help you and share expenses with you. If you turn the CASCO option, you will limit the maximum amount of your liability.
What do I need to start using Citydrive (ex. YouDrive)?
To use Citydrive, you will need to:
- Have a B category driving license with driving experience of at least 2 years.
- Register in the mobile app using the documents, phone camera and bank card.
- Wait for the security service to verify your documents. Usually it takes not longer than two hours.
How security service verification is carried out?
After registration, your documents will be sent to verification, which takes from 15 minutes to 2 hours. During document verification it may turn out that there is something wrong with the photos on your documents, so, please don’t turn the app push notifications off and be ready to send new photos.
If the car accident happens through no fault of yours, the repair will be by the person at fault. If the fault is yours or mutual, you will not have to bear full liability. We limit drivers’ liability for the damage to the car:
1. Damage to the car is less than 70,000 RUB: Depending on the scale of accident, you compensate the damage by yourself, but no more than 50,000 RUB.
2. Damage to the car is more than 70,000 RUB: You pay 50,000 RUB + 25% of the amount exceeding 70,000 RUB.
It is turned on additionally. If it happens that you are at fault of a road traffic accident but you didn’t violate any more Citydrive rules, then the maximum amount of your liability is 15,000 RUB. If you are not at fault of the accident, you will not have to pay anything. To turn the CASCO option on, go to the Insurance section in the application menu.

You can travel to a distance of 250 km from:
- Moscow Ring Road (MKAD).
- Saint-Petersburg Ring Road.
- Sochi International Airport. However, you cannot leave the territory of Russia.

What are the bonuses and bonus account?
This is your personal account where we add points for refuelling and promo codes bonuses. Money for the ride will be written off from your bonus account first, then from your card.
How does the subscription work? Every day you will receive minutes for which you no longer have to pay. After the end of this time limit, the rent will be transferred to per-minute tariffication.
What are the rules of spending minutes? You can spend minutes at once or for several rentals per day on any car model. The mileage is included in the subscription and is not charged separately. Unspent minutes are not carried over to the next day.
How to activate the subscription? You can buy a subscription or check its cost for you directly in the application: go to the side menu in the "Subscription" section. Magic minutes will become available right after the payment is approved. To use minutes, press the "Subscription" button when renting a car. Then everything is as usual: minutes will start being debited when you open the car or the free booking time is over.
Is there something more? Yes. The subscription is valid for 30 days after purchase. You can check and change settings in the side menu in the "Subscription" section.
The subscription does not work in Sochi yet =(
You pay only for the minutes when you use a car. This includes expenses on fuel, payment of municipal parking in Moscow, car wash and maintenance.
Green zone is an area where you can end car rent. It is marked by the green on the map in the app.
Only inside the green zone. In Moscow it includes free and paid city parkings without barriers. In Saint Petersburg and Sochi — only free ones. Warning: it’s impossible to end the rent in places with paid exit.
At any parking lot. There are a couple of important points:
- you can end the rent only inside the green zone, in Moscow it includes free and paid city parkings without barriers, in Saint Petersburg and Sochi — only free ones;
- open paid city parkings in Moscow are at our expense, you pay only for the rent by Parking tariff;
- if you leave the car at the paid parking outside the green zone, you pay for it yourself.
Free booking is the time that you are given to get to the car: it is 20 minutes by default. You can book a car for free once per 2 hours.
Free night parking is the tariff for dropping the car outside of a green zone for a night. It’s absolutely free of charge. The tariff is automatically activated from 8:00 pm to 8:00 am.
You can hand over the car to another user outside of a green zone by pressing the “Handover” button in the app. After you press the button, the car appears on the map and becomes available for booking. Until the car is booked by another user, it will be held by you at Parking rate. As soon as another user books the car, you rent will be ended. Handover is also covered by the “night parking” tariff.
You can and even without queues! Select the “Transponder“ filter in the application to find cars with special device installed and do not waste time at payment points. The fare will be charged from your bank card linked to your account. Charge usually occurs within 20 minutes. You will receive a notification and the bill to your email.
By the way, there are also some discounts:
- for users of 3 or 4 rating levels - 25%,
- for users of 5, 6 or 7 rating levels - 50%,
- for users of the 8th and 9th rating level - 100%.
Can I rent a car for a long period?
You can rent a car not only for a few hours, but also for several days or even weeks. Before booking a car select the package tariff you need. Such tariffs include only time and the mileage is charged separately. Find full terms of the package tariffs in the application - under the “i” icon on each tariff.
“Radius“ option allows you to drive up to 2000 km from the city where you took the car. But remember that you cannot leave the Russian Federation. To use this option, turn on the “Radius“ filter and rent a car at a package rate. Then you can purchase required radius:
- 500 km – 500 RUB
- 1,000 km – 1 000 RUB
- 2,000 km – 2 000 RUB
There are also discounts for users with different rating levels:
- expansion up to 500 km is included at the 3rd and 4th levels of the rating,
- expansion up to 1000 km is included at the 5th, 6th and 7th levels of the rating,
- expansion up to 2000 km is included at the 8th and 9th level of the rating.
Warning! You can end your car rent only in the green zone of the city where you started the rent. Moreover, you should pay for paid parking in other cities.
How discounts for destination point and time of arrival work?
Specify your approximate location and time of arrival and get up to 50% off your per minute rent. You can do it both before and during the rent.
In order for discount to be applied, you have to complete the rent within a radius of 1 km from the specified point, and not earlier or later than 15 minutes of the specified time.
You may also have access to the “Direct pass” function (look for a special switcher on the screen for indicating the arrival time) that allows you to transfer the car directly to the next user and not waste time looking for a parking space.
Who pays for the fuel and car wash?
We refuel and wash our cars ourselves. If the fuel in the rented car suddenly runs low, you can refuel the car yourself leaving an order in advance and specifying necessary quantity and volume of the fuel via “Refuel the car” button in the app menu. You can also send a payment slip for the refuelling for us to compensate the expenses by points to the bonus account.
What if I don’t report damage or accident?
Before rent, you have to thoroughly examine the car and report any damage not registered in the service. If you don’t do it, we can consider the damage to be left by you.
If you don’t report that you left the damage, you may receive a penalty of 50,000 RUB and fully pay for the repair.
You add the card, and the payment is made automatically. During the rent, we will write off the instalments of 500 RUB spent by you and the remainder at the end. Don’t worry: as soon as you end the rent, we will show a detailed receipt in the app right away and send it to your mail.
What if my documents or contact details change?
If your documents, phone number or email have been changed please contact us via feedback form in the App.
If the card changes, add a new one in the app profile in “My cards” section.
What should I do in case of document inspection by a traffic police officer?
Show him your driver’s license and car documents that you can find in the glove box. If you can’t find the insurance, check your mobile app - this car probably has an electronic insurance that you can open by clicking eOSAGO button.
Traffic police officer can also ask you to show him your mobile app, so he can be sure that this car is rented by you. You have no obligation to show him your phone, but in this case you will spend more time to prove that it’s actually you renting this car.

Special parking spaces at airports, malls and business centers
What are special parking spaces?
These are parking places that you can't just get in: for example at airports, shopping malls and business centers. We agreed with owners of these parkings, so you can come there by Citydrive cars, end the rent or switch to the Parking tariff.
Open the car map in Citydrive app, press the settings icon in the upper right corner and apply the Special parking spaces filter. Then tap on the blue pins to see details about every parking.
Where to end or start the rent? At Domodedovo airport, you can end or start the rent only at the P3 parking. Entry and exit are free, parking tickets aren’t needed.
How to get to the parking at Domodedovo from Moscow? In the Domodedovo area, it’s easy to go the wrong way, so it’s better to plot the route in navigation apps. Plan your way right to the P3 parking, not just to the airport.
Most navigation apps find the right parking by “Domodedovo P3 parking” and similar requests. If this does not work out, copy the coordinates and plot the route to them: 55.415435°, 37.894371°.
This is approximately how the right route from Moscow to the P3 parking looks like.
Take the detailed instructions — just in case:
- drive along the route A-105 towards the airport and keep to the right side;
- turn towards Kashirskoye highway about 4 km from the airport and then turn right at the ‘Домодедово карго аэрп. Домодедово’ road sign;
- drive under the bridge, then turn on the ring at the second exit in the direction of ‘Карго Домодедово’ and drive straight;
- turn into the P3 parking, the cameras will see the Citydrive car, and the barrier will open;
- park according to the road markings, end the rent or switch to the Parking tariff.
If the barrier at the entrance doesn't open automatically, contact the parking operator using the terminal. This should help.
Is it allowed to leave the car not in the special parking space? Yes, but it’s impossible to end the rent there — only to switch to the Parking tariff. And you will also have to take a parking ticket according to the rules of the airport and pay for the parking itself.
It’s acceptable to leave the car not in the special parking space, when you walk or meet someone and are going to drive back by the same car.
If you are running late for a flight and have no time to find the special parking space — follow the instructions in the next paragraph.

- Park the car in the nearest airport parking, try to remember its number and leave the parking ticket in a prominent place in the car.
- Switch the rental to the Parking tariff and hurry up for your flight.

How to get from the airport to the special parking space?
Plot the walking route in a navigation app by “Domodedovo P3 parking” or similar request. If this does not work out, copy the coordinates and plot the route to them: 55.415435°, 37.894371°.
You can also build the route directly to the car:
- open Citydrive app;
- select a car at the P3 parking;
- tap “Get directions” to be transferred to the navigation app.
If your navigation app show a lang way — don’t believe it:
- leave the airport through exit №4
- turn left;
- go straight all the time — after about 100 meters from entrance №4, the road will turn right and lead you to the P3 parking.
How to leave Domodedovo airport by Citydrive? Just take a car and drive — parking tickets won’t be needed and the barrier will open automatically. If this doesn't happen, contact the parking operator using the terminal.
Where to end or start the rent? At Sheremetyevo airport, you can end or start the rent only on the 2nd floor of multilevel parking of terminal C. Entry and exit are free, parking tickets aren’t needed.
How to get to parkings at Sheremetyevo from Moscow? Plot routes in navigation apps — right to parkings, not just to the airport.

When you will be near the airport, follow the instructions:
- stop near the entrance to the parking — cameras will see the Citydrive car, and the barrier will open;
- park according to the road markings on the 2nd floor of the parking;
- end the rent or switch to Parking tariff.
If the barrier at the entrance doesn't open automatically, contact the parking operator using the terminal. This should help.
And one more thing: Sheremetyevo airport terminals are far from each other, so always choose the closest parking in advance.

- open Citydrive app;
- select a car at the P3 parking;
- tap “Get directions” to be transferred to the navigation app.
And if the navigator still doesn’t find the way, then just go outside and look around — both parking lots are located opposite their terminals.
How to leave Sheremetyevo by Citydrive? Just take a car and drive — parking tickets won’t be needed and the barrier will open automatically. If this doesn't happen, contact the parking operator using the terminal.
Where to end or start the rent? At Vnukovo airport, you can end or start the rent only at the forecourt’s open parking. It’s indicated by the ‘Parking only for carsharing’ scoreboard.
Entry and exit are free, but you will need a parking ticket. Read the details in “How to get to the parking from Moscow?” and “How to leave Vnukovo by Citydrive?” paragraphs.
How to get to the parking from Moscow? It's better to use navigation apps. Vnokovo's special parking space doesn't have any name, so copy the coordinates and plot the route to them: 55.415435°, 37.894371°.
When you will be near the airport, follow the instructions:
- keep to the left side and follow the ‘Parking’ road signs above the road;
- take the parking ticket near the barrier at the entrance to the forecourt
- drive straight for about 100 meters — to the ‘Parking only for carsharing’ scoreboard and another barrier;
- open the barrier with your parking ticket and get it back;
- park according to the to the road markings, end the rent or switch to the Parking tariff;
- be sure to leave the parking ticket in a prominent place in the car, for example on the driver's or front passenger seat.
Kind reminder.If you pick up the ticket, the next driver will lose time on the exit, and you will receive a fine.

How to leave Vnukovo by Citydrive
- find the previous driver’s parking ticket in the car
- use the ticket to open the barrier at the exits from the parking, don’t forget to get the ticket back;
- use it one more time to open the barrier at the exit from the forecourt.
If the barriers don’t open or the previous driver didn’t leave a ticket, contact the administration at the parking.
Where to end or start the rent? At Pulkovo airport, you can start the rent and end it for free only at the P2 parking.
How to get to the parking at Pulkovo? The only entrance to the territory is from the Pulkovo highway. Plan your way navigation apps — right to the parking, not just to the airport.
Navigation apps find the right parking by “Pulkovo P2 parking” or similar requests. If this does not work out, copy the coordinates and plot the route to them: 59.798450°, 30.275755°.
Entry and exit are free, parking tickets aren’t needed. When you arrive to the parking, the barrier will open automatically. If this does not happen, contact the operator through the terminal at the barrier.

- tap “Get directions” to be transferred to the navigation app.

Toll roads
Is it possible to use toll roads by Citydrive?
Yes. If you are driving a car with a transponder, you do not need to pay manually — barriers open automatically, and the money is debited contactless.
For cars without transponders, the payment is manual everywhere except Central Ring Road.
Transponder is a gadget which allows you to enter on toll roads almost without queques and pay for it contactless. When you are near a toll road, a special device scans the transponder’s signal and the barrier opens automatically. The money is debited contactless later.
How to take a car with a transponder?
- Open the car map in Citydrive app.
- Tap on the settings icon in the upper right corner and apply the Transponder filter.
- Take any available car and drive!
Are there discounts on toll roads for Citydrive cars?
If you are driving a car with a transponder and have a good rating level in Citydrive, your trip on a toll road will be at a discount:
- 25% on levels 3 and 4;
- 50% on levels 5, 6 and 7;
- 100% on levels 8 and 9.
How to pay for the trip on the Central Ring Road?
There are no barriers and toll collection points on the Central Ring Road. With or without a transponder, the money will be debited automatically from your Citydrive balance or bank card.

How to pay for trips on M-1, M-3, M-4 and M-11 highways?
If you are driving a car without transponder:
- at the entrance to without the toll road, take the lane under the road sign of cash or non-cash payment;
- stop at the barrier and pay for your trip;
- when the barrier opens, drive as usual.
If you are driving a car with a transponder:
- at the entrance to the toll road, take the lane for cars with a transponder — it can be marked with a green road sign, the inscription ‘By transponder’ or ‘T-pass’;
- stop at the barrier — it will open automatically;
- drive as usual — the money will be debited from your Citydrive balance or bank card.

How to pay for the trip on the Western High-Speed Diameter?
If you are driving a car without transponder:
- at the entrance to the toll road, take the lane under the yellow road sign of cash or non-cash payment;
- stop at the barrier and pay for your trip;
- when the barrier opens, drive as usual.
If you are driving a car with a transponder:
- at the entrance to the toll road, take the lane under the yellow road sign of cash payment or the green one with the picture of a car;
- stop at the barrier — it will open automatically;
- drive as usual — the money will be debited from your Citydrive balance or bank card.

How to pay for the trip on other toll roads?
If you are driving a car without transponder:
- at the entrance to without the toll road, take the lane under the road sign of cash or non-cash payment;
- stop at the barrier and pay for your trip;
- when the barrier opens, drive as usual.
If you are driving a car with a transponder:
- at the entrance to the toll road, take the lane for cars with a transponder — it can be marked with a green road sign, the inscription ‘By transponder’ or ‘T-pass’;
- stop at the barrier — it will open automatically;
- drive as usual — the money will be debited from your Citydrive balance or bank card.
Something went wrong
What if the car is towed away?
We will send you a detailed instruction to your mail, and if it has not arrived yet, call us via Support section of the App menu.
What if I get to the accident?
1. Call the Road Police and formalize the accident not by the European Accident Statement, then get all the documents concerning the accident from the Road Police officers and leave the documents in the car glove compartment.
2. While waiting for the Road Police, contact us via the phone number in Support section of the App menu.
Never leave the accident scene nor end the car rent! If there is no your fault in the accident, the rent will be recalculated.
What if I discover damage or dirt on the car before the rent begins?
If you discover damage or dirt on the rented car, make sure to report to us via chat bot or press “There’s some damage” after you swipe “Unlock doors” button. Otherwise, we won’t know that it wasn’t’ you who had damaged the car and we will impose a penalty on you. If you notice the car damage after the rent, report it to us anyway; it is surely better than concealing.
What if I forget my belongings in the car?
If you forget your belongings in the car which has already been booked by someone else, please contact us via feedback form in the App, and support service staff will do their best to help you. We don’t recommend leaving personal belongings in the car, even if you are not going to end the rent.
